Clyde-Green Springs Schools Levy Information (11/4/2014)

11/05/2014

Thank you to the voters and taxpayers in the Clyde-Green Springs School District for supporting the renewal tax levy.

10/9/2014

Clyde-Green Springs has placed a 10 year emergency operating renewal levy on the ballot for the November 4, 2014 election. This levy is a fixed sum amount levy that collects $1,265,000 per year that is used to operate the school system.  This levy has collected the same amount of funding for the school district since 2005.
It is a 5.20 mill levy which costs .52 cents per one hundred dollars of tax valuation.

The funds brought in by this levy are used to purchase instructional supplies for students, pay utility costs (electric, water, sewer, telephone and natural gas bills) pay the salaries of teachers, secretaries, bus drivers, food service workers, and any other costs of operating a school.

This levy was first approved by voters in 2005 as a 5 year levy and has been renewed once.
